History Of The STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta

School of Information Management and Computer AMIKOM Yogyakarta (here in after referred STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA) is a private university located in the province under the auspices Sleman Yogyakarta AMIKOM Foundation.

STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta college is a result of the development of the Academy of Management Information and Computer "AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA". AMIKOM Yogyakarta as an institution of higher education established by decision of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 084 / D / O / 1994 on the granting of Registered status to the Department / Study Program for the Diploma Programme in AMIKOM Yogyakarta in Yogyakarta and under the auspices of the Foundation "AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA".

AMIKOM Yogyakarta has a Studies Program Information Management and Information Technology. These courses each managed by a Head of Department and Secretary of the Department are supported by the device Faculty, and Staff Administration

Overall academic institution was headed by a Director assisted by Assistant Director, Academic Executive, Executive Administratatif Elements, Technical Implementation Unit, Elements of Research and Development and several other supporting elements.

In 2002, D-3 program has been in the Information Management Accreditation by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education with SK BAN PT Number: 010 / BAN-PT / Ak-I / above sea-III / VIII / 2002 and obtain accreditation A.

Along with advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and also to meet the needs of experts who understand and are skilled in the field, then AMIKOM add the S-1, and turned into STIMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA.

Based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia on April 24, 2002, No.. 75 / D / O / 2002 on the Implementation of Licensing Programs Study and Establishment of the School of Information Management and Computer (STMIK) AMIKOM Yogyakarta in Yogyakarta (change the shape of AMIKOM) organized by the Foundation AMIKOM Yogyakarta in Yogyakarta.

Under the decree, STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA given permission to conduct the study program:
Informatics for Bachelor degree (S1) Information System for Bachelor degree (S1) Information Management for Diploma level - III (D-3) Information Engineering for Diploma level-III (D-3) Implementation of Information Systems Studies Program for Bachelor degree (S1) is specifically supported by the Ministry of Education, with the letter of the Director General of Higher Education No. 2704 / D / T / 2004 on the Operating Licence Extension Studies Program at STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA.
